Sing! starts up again for the fall term on September 25.  We truly are open to any woman who wants to give it a try.  If you’ve been wanting to do some singing, but just didn’t feel sure – don’t wait! This is the place to do it. More info below or on the “Join” tab.

If you still need a reason to join the chorus, check this out. Researchers recently found that singing in a group is good for your heart rate, and the regulated breathing as in the same way as doing yoga. So it’s not just fun – it’s good for you. Read about it here.

A few details for you about how to find us. You may register online or in person at the Community Ed office. We meed at Ordean East Middle School, 2900 E 4th St in Duluth. Park in the lot behind the school off of Hawthorne Rd and use the door off of that parking lot. Once inside both sets of doors turn left to find the elevator or stairs. The choir room where we meet is on the third floor in the extreme western end of the school. Take the elevator or stairs to the third floor, walk straight ahead to the end of the hall, turn left and take the long hike to the end of that hall. Our room is on the left at the very end. If you need to register in person, stop off at the second floor and walk straight ahead, the Community Ed office is behind the counter on the right.

Sing! A Women’s Chorus     Sing! brings a diverse group of women together through music making. Songs are learned in the oral tradition, providing an especially welcoming atmosphere for new, or returning, singers. We sing traditional music from the U.S., Europe, and West Africa, along with original songs by director Mags David. Join this friendly and joyful group as we focus on improving our musical skills and experiencing the pure pleasure of singing. Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:45pm, 9/25/2013- 12/4/2013, NO CLASS 11/27, $25

Sing! 2     Singers in this group will rehearse with Sing! A Women’s Chorus, then break out to work on more challenging music. Regular attendance is a required component of learning in this group, and members of the group may sing leads and/or solo parts. Wednesdays 5:30pm-8:00pm, 9/25/2013- 12/4/2013, NO CLASS 11/27, $35

Classes meet at Ordean East Middle School, 2900 E 4th St, Duluth
