The Getarounds

Thanks to Dan Dresser and Gaelynn Lea of The Getarounds for inviting Sing! to take a turn on the stage during their gig at the Thirsty Pagan last night. What a blast!!! It’s fun to sing in a casual and noisy atmosphere like the Pagan, a nice change from our more usual concert setting.

The best part? They asked us to sing back-up for their new song “Make Up My Mind.” Just a brief introduction to our parts and we were ready to go. It was a great sound, I really look forward to singing this song again. And, oh yeah, The Getarounds are absolutely fabulous. Make sure you get out to see them.

About Sing! A Women's Chorus

Founded in 1999 by director Mags David, Sing! A Women’s Chorus is based in the Duluth Public Schools Community Education program. This ensemble is open to all registrants. Music is learned through the oral tradition, allowing singers at all levels of experience to participate. We sing traditional music from the U.S., Europe, and West Africa, and original songs written for the chorus by Mags David.
