Sing! In Concert

Join us this Wednesday, June 5th at 7pm for our end of year concert. We’re singing everything we know!! It should be a great time, it’s always nice to really stretch out and give a full scale concert. We look forward to sharing our music with all of our friends and family and we hope you’ll stay for the reception afterwards to meet and greet your favorite singers.

Details for the concert: 7:00pm, Wednesday, June 5, Duluth Superior Friends Meeting House, 1802 E 1st St, Duluth. Free and open to the public. Reception to follow. Facebook Event

This has sure been a great year. Sing! 2 returned to Enweyang Ojibwe Language Nest last week. We sang for these children last year and they greeted us by singing “Ayelevi.” That was a special treat. Sing! takes the summer off and it’s always a little bittersweet to move away from singing for a couple of months. But, we must breathe, and eat, and dream to grow, and dreaming takes a little bit of breathing space.

Thanks to all of our “fans” out there, and here’s hoping some of you will join us in the chorus in the fall.

Special thanks to Patrice Bradley who took our fabulous new promo pic. I hope to have this available in post card form at the concert.

About Sing! A Women's Chorus

Founded in 1999 by director Mags David, Sing! A Women’s Chorus is based in the Duluth Public Schools Community Education program. This ensemble is open to all registrants. Music is learned through the oral tradition, allowing singers at all levels of experience to participate. We sing traditional music from the U.S., Europe, and West Africa, and original songs written for the chorus by Mags David.
